Our Human Resources (HR) Manager plans and implements human resources policies, programs, and services that drive organizational and employee performance and a productive work environment. Key areas of focus include HR administration, staffing, employee relations, management consultation, policy guidance, compliance, and safety. BHHS Georgia Properties is part of HomeServices of America, Inc., the 2nd largest residential real estate leader in the nation and an affiliate of Berkshire Hathaway. The Human Resources Manager is an HR is "a team of one" who will partner with one of our local HR partners as well as partner closely with HomeServices corporate HR staff to carry out corporate wide programs and initiatives at a local level. Our target applicant will be able to execute hands-on activities while also having the experience and acumen to contribute to the BHHS Georgia Properties management team and provide employee relations support.

This position supports about 90 employees and is well suited to an experienced Human Resources Generalist or HR Manager.

EMPLOYEE RELATIONS / PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT

  • Provide consultation and guidance on employment policies and procedures to management and employees
  • Support management with employee performance management, counseling, complaint investigation and problem resolution
  • Coordinate annual performance appraisal process
  • Coordinate training activities

STAFFING

  • Handle all new hire, status change and termination actions
  • Support managers on recruitment and selection for open positions
  • Maintain all personnel files and human resources records

GENERAL HR SUPPORT AND ADMINISTRATION

  • Respond to and assist employees with benefit, payroll and leave of absence matters. Partner with parent company human resources staff and third party providers
  • Support annual benefits enrollment process and benefit communications
  • Use HR systems to maintain employee data, provide reports, etc.
  • Manage safety program and reporting
  • Responsible for all employment compliance and reporting activities
  • Support employee activities and recognition programs
  • Facilitate employee communications

PAYROLL ADMINISTRATION

  • Time sheet and time entry administration
  • Payroll general ledger administration

OTHER

  • As part of company management team, provide HR input and support on general business initiatives, strategic and operational plans, and program
  • Support other general corporate administration activities as needed

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate must have:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent in work experience and knowledge
  • 7+ years experience in Human Resources
  • Experience as an HR Generalist or HR Manager
  • Experience in both small-medium size companies and subsidiary-parent corporate environment helpful
  • Solid knowledge of applicable state/federal employment laws (PHR or SPHR preferred)
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Web-based systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytic and problem solving skills
  • Experience with HRIS and reporting systems
  • Ability to work independently and handle confidential information

Executive Assistant needed to support the CEO and CFO of a company headquartered in Doraville, GA. Successful candidate will be extremely organized, detail oriented and able to handle the day to day stressors of working for two corporate level executives. This position is vital in maintaining the efficiency of the office while managing additional administrative support staff.

SUMMARY:

The Senior Executive Assistant will be responsible for providing various onsite and offsite errands, in addition to full office assistance and clerical support to the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Board.

Job Requirements

Degree preferred MBA/BS

Strong executive assistant background at   the executive corporate level

Self-motivated, excellent attention to detail

Available to provide support after hours and weekends as needed

Experience handling highly sensitive and confidential information

Prior experience taking dictation

Exceptional in performing Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

The successful candidate will have exceptional written and verbal communication skills in order to manage all communication and correspondence on behalf of CEO and COB.

Duties:

  • Performs a variety of administrative support activities for company executives such as composing replies to correspondence on own initiative, summarizing reports and information to facilitate review by others, and investigating, evaluating and resolving problems within scope of position
  • Produces information by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying, and transmitting text, data and graphics
  • Conserves executive's time by reading, researching, and routing correspondence; drafting letters and documents; collecting and analyzing information; initiating telecommunications
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations for executives as needed.
  • Researches, summarizes and analyzes information including but not limited to special and recurring reports containing specialized or sensitive information, following executive general direction and selecting relevant information from a variety of sources.
  • Prepares both special and recurring reports for executive and prepares purchase orders when required.
  • Prepares expense reports.
  • Coordinates business affairs.
  • Opens and reviews incoming mail and email, answers inquiries and composes correspondence on own initiative in accordance with established guidelines and forwards other items to department directors or appropriate staff.
  • Screens phone calls and executive visitors, directing to appropriate staff or department when necessary.
  • Plans and arranges conferences and meetings under general instructions from CEO and COB, communicating arrangements to appropriate individuals.
  • Arranges and coordinates all travel reservations and itineraries, including but not limited to airline and hotel accommodations, business luncheons, dinner engagements, car rentals, etc., and anticipates and prepares background materials needed.
  • Type correspondence, reports or other documents from rough draft, correcting grammar, spelling and punctuation errors and editing wording without changing intended message.
  • Generates correspondence from transcribed notes and dictation methods
  • Record, transcribe and distribute minutes of meetings 
  • Maintains calendar(s) for CEO and COB, regularly prioritizing and arranging meetings, conferences and appointments, and preparing background materials when needed.
  • Acts as a liaison on behalf of the CEO and COB with other departments and outside agencies, including high-level staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.
